Can anyone help me with a question? Who was the deep voiced guy calling out the take numbers while Elvis was recording Spinout and Frankie and Johnny (and others). With help I think I've narrowed it down to either George Stoll or Dave Weichman.

Gratefull for any help. Thanks.

Dave Weichman as an engineer seems to have been there on World's Fair, Acapulco, Viva Las Vegas, Roustabout, Girl Happy, Frankie & Johnny, some of Paradise, Spinout and Double Trouble.

George was an MGM producer, I think he only worked on VLV and Girl Happy.

So if the voice is on all the first group of soundtracks, it has to be Dave.

Thanks. I think you're right. It always amused (and amuses) me when listening to outtakes when Elvis is laughing away and then over the speaker comes a straight laced deep voiced .... 'take 8'... (or whatever).

Thanks John. I have googled them, Dave Weichman was an actor who appeared in Hogans Heroes, Cheers and the movie Jagged Edge amongst others.

Wie or Wei? Anyway, there's a photo of him and it seems yesterday was the 5th anniversary of his death.

Thanks John. Looks like his story could be quite interesting. Maybe one of the mags (ETMAHM, EE) will pick it up.
