A) Does not contain original masters......eg. original mono singles presented in stereo, Suspicious Minds stereo mix with non original horns?
B) If this was the '
historic document' it purports to be, than I would have expected the albums presented as originally released, complete with original artwork - ditto singles.
C) Close to AU$1000 and cardboard sleeves!
".....indispensable piece of music history and the one collection no true connoisseur should be without." - my arse!
D)
"Each recording has been carefully restored to achieve the best sound reproduction ever without compromising the audio quality......" - Lene Reidel - wtf!
.......and now this.....

Didn't want to start yet another thread so I'll just use this one. The set is in chronological order however on disc 7 the track listing is as follows:
21. For the Millionth and the Last Time
22. Good Luck Charm
23. Anything That's Part of You
24. I Met Her Today
25. Night Rider
26. Angel
27. Follow That Dream
28. What a Wonderful Life
29. I'm Not the Marrying Kind
30. Sound Advice
However according to the Ernst book and Elvis sessions sites the order is as follows:
July 2 1961 RCA Studio B - Nashville, Tessessee
Angel M2WW 0873-07
Follow That Dream M2WW 0874-06
What A Wonderful Life M2WW 0875-07
I'm Not The Marrying Kind M2WW 0876-08
A Whistling Tune M2WW 0877-04
A Whistling Tune (Overdub) ____-NA
Sound Advice M2WW 0878-06
October 15 1961 RCA Studio B - Nashville, Tessessee
For The Millionth & The Last Time M2WW 1002-12
Good Luck Charm M2WW 1003-04
Anything That's Part Of You M2WW 1004-10
The CM set features the October masters before the July session. Am I missing something?
Was not a key component of this set the chronological presentation?
Laughable.
I could be wrong, but maybe since the book came out some new information was discovered to lead them to believe this is the actual proper oder. Maybe, could be, or maybe they're just showing more incompetence. Maybe Keith can ask Ernst about the differences between the books listings, and the box sets listings.
