'Paskal' is the artist's signature.
I only know (or knew rather) one Dutch Elvis fanatic with this name. But this is not from him.
The label is USA based btw.

The CD also has his work on the backcover (muss less intriguing):

Yes indeed, R&R is in my blood! In fact, my favourite musical rhythm in the world is the rockabilly beat, that's why I immediatly fell in love with the new Paralyzed.

Man, I spent quite a few hours this afternoon, checking out the priceless material posted here!
What can I say? Incredible.

Oh yes, we're gonna get along just perfect!

"Ladies and gentlemen, attention please
Come in close so everyone can see
I got a tale to tell
A listen don't cost a dime
And if you believe that, we're gonna get along just fine"

I am: nuts (real name? you must be joking. But I ain't Peter or Paul!)
37 years old.
Live in Norfolk, UK
Single. no kids (and no chance there's any I don't know about)
In 2nd year of writing my phd thesis on gay and lesbian characters in film prior to 1934 (and you thought being into Elvis was nerdy!)
As some of you already know my musical interests are spread far across a wide spectrum, so am far away from an Elvis fan in the exclusivity sense, and I make no apologies for that. So no Elvis rooms, Elvis ornaments or Elvis ducks!

That's a fascinating thesis subject. It would be interesting to note the changes in depiction of gay/lesbian people over the past two decades too.

Thank you. Well, if ever the thesis gets turned into a book (as Ihope it will) then I certainly plan to turn my attention at a later stage to more recent developments. The reason for the current thesis topic is that the representations in early films have been looked at by academics from a modern perspective. My view is to place them back into their historical contexts through looking at political/social movements, artistic movements, newspaper articles and so on and in order to see how they were viewed at the time (when, for example, on the whole America had no notion of homosexuality as opposed to homosexual acts), and to try to discover not only the differences between the depictions in American and European films of the period, but WHY they were different.

Colin, what's funny to one person, isn't to another. This is one of those subjects where you have to know the other person pretty well before making "wry" comments.

You and I are from the generation where perhaps we know there's no offence meant, and maybe would laugh at Jim Davidson or Bernard Manning knowing they are only joking, but these days you have to be so careful, and personally I wouldn't have said it purely because it can be taken the wrong way.

I'm sure richsanepaul is fine about it, but we don't know him well enough yet to take the proverbial. Now if you want to talk about Jav.....

Well, it's no good asking an old hand like me to change his ways to suit the 'political correctness' of the day.

I just speak as I find.

I think Colin knows me well enough to take the piss when he likes. I was joking in my call for an end to the insults! Not that I'm requesting them! Either way, I'm now off to watch another silent film with a load of half naked blokes in it. Sometimes I just hate my work! ;)

Of course Elvis and many other R&R, rockabilly artists like:
Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Johnny Burnette (50's), Ricky Nelson (50's), Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis....and this goes on and on and on. But also. Brian Setzer & The Baseballs

Favo.TV show(movie): Columbo
Favo.movies: James Bond, James Dean

What you see as 'political correctness' of the day, other people see as just good manners.

Never mind film stars, that dude should do a dissertation on archaic attitudes on Elvis message-boards. It's like the 1970's on here sometimes.

That's true.

And when it isn't, it's like the 50s or 60s.

It goes with being an Elvis fan.

And the knock-about world of an internet messageboard ain't the place to look for 'good manners'............

Sadly, you're right. Elvis messageboards are often the most un-hip places to hang around on-line, it's almost like Elvis attracts that type - tastless right-wingers who love a snigger at 'queer' jokes.

And thanks for putting Elvis' name in bold for me. I'm sure I'd have completely missed it if you hadn't.

I'm not kidding you if I say that I could write a book about this subject, about human behaviour on public message boards.

(... and I almost already started typing the 1st page here, but I deleted all of that ...)

It's sad sad sad. That's what it is.
Sad that a lot of people apparently feel the need to make up for the emptiness in their real-life, so they come to public boards, pick the personality they need to be in order to bring back the balance in their otherwise empty lives. A guy with a small real-life dick pretends to have a big online dick (he acts like a big dick), guys who have no control over their real-lives horse people around online, etc. etc.

:-(
