Ok sorry. Just delete my account.

That's childish. No one wants you to leave, just don't bore the few of us that are left with the battles with Maurice. You two want to fight, go and do it elsewhere.

No one needs to deactivate your account. It's not like you pay a monthly subscription. If you don't want to come here any more, just don't. It's easy.

I received a pm from Ben. Telling me not to post here or he would deactivate my account.

Perhaps some explaining is required? So others will know what goes on here.

No matter where I post francesc and many more of my admirers like him will be reading my words. :-)

Glad to see Brian Quinn back here.

But I cannot start a thread without being bushwhacked so I'm off to greener pastures. francesc was right I did return to FECC under other nicks..to defend myself. Then I learnt I can defend myself on the open forums everywhere and word will get back to the liars, and honest Elvis fans on FECC, and here, anyway.

"Maurice, please resist from posting on here or I will deactivate your account.

Thank you,

Ben".

Go ahead then. Maybe you can explain to casual observers why you would need to deactivate my account because I was only responding to provocation from another member?

That has happened to me on a number of Elvis Forums. I was not allowed to defend myself on FECC and TCB-World.

Perhaps a look at "The Truth" section on my blog would be of help? http://irelandtoo.blogspot.com

Nonsense, and you know it.

They choose to depart for reasons obvious to all discerning readers. They do not like competition. Many go out of boredom because this forum crawls along and has done long before I became a member.

Some Elvis fans are beyond comics, cartoons and narcisstic individuals.

Very reasonable likethebike attempted to calm the waters but was completely ignored.

Remember I am 70 years old, highly intelligent and recognise all attempts at procrastination. I am also extremely modest. :-)

Oh No. Not that old bloke back here again. No one should have to put up with his nonsense. GET LOST you are acting like a 6 year old. No more like a 5 year old. Somebody 6 years of age would not behave so childish as you. You said you would leave so do try to keep your word. What a change that would be. 70 years of age and going on 4. Grow the hell up. How old are you 3. Stop acting like a 2 year old and take a hike will ya. We are tired of you coming accross with all the maturity of a new born.

Sorry to keep you waiting I was watching a movie.

I really do not need to respond. You unclefester, and your like, have tainted Elvis forums so much most of them are near a standstill.

My advice to genuine Elvis fans would be to vist REX's Moments in Time Elvis forum and enjoy the huge amount of Elvisology displayed there.

Let this thread die and I'll stay away. Keep responding and I will too. Senior citizens like to play, in our second childhood. LOL.

Maurice, I don't know you and I've never had anything against you and I don't know the history as to why people object to you or have this hostility towards you, but the above statement is patently not true. We had some very healthy sections and a few (would have liked more) very active members over the last 8-9months. However, it's true to say that people have certainly left because of you and to be honest if I had to make a choice, I'd sooner bring them back and kick you off, because they brought far more value to this site then you do.

As I said I don't particularly have a problem with you myself, I'm not criticising you for going on about statues, Dolores Hart, classical music or your great grandmothers drawers, but I can see why people get pissed off with your patronising manner.

You're not the only intelligent person on here so please stop going on about it and ramming it down everyone's throat. It isn't a prerequisite for membership. Not everyone has to have the same degree of intelligence, or has to have the same passion for classical music or for promoting Elvis. I don't care if you're related to Einstein and have an IQ of 247, it doesn't make you a better person. If you haven't learnt that much in your three score years and ten, then you're fucking thick. Everyone brings something to the party which is why it makes it interesting. If everyone was like you, or me, then it would be boring. You have an unfortunate manner in the way you get hooked into these little skirmishes and in the way you try and belittle people.

The intention of this board was that it would be open to anyone, we wouldn't have any censorship and that we wouldn't boot anyone off and by and large we've kept to it. I can only think of one or maybe two people we've got rid of, and even then it was after a lot of provocation, so I don't want to ban you, although I can't speak for everyone. However, you've left and come back a couple of times now, although I can't think why you'd do that or what you're trying to prove by doing so. The bottom line is that I'd sooner we had a happy membership here, and not have you constantly upset people. In this respect I would ask you to leave of your own volition and not return.

Thank you.

I appreciate different contributions to any board, but I do worry about people who describe themselves as highly intelligent.
What does `intelligence', which in my experience is very subjectvie, have to do with being able to get along and make a positive contribution to a board?
I know a lot of very dumb people who brag about being intelligent, and it gets up my nose.
John has made some very pertinent points.
I don't have a problem with any topic being posted, I can choose not to read them, and I think that could be a solution for everyone.

If you had been paying real attention, John, you would have noticed as soon as I arrived here francesc and Suave had a dig at me.

Then Ger started interrupting my threads..without just cause. Others joined in because they are friends of, and next thing you know I'm in the position where I have to defend myself against bullies!

When I said I would leave Colin, likethebike, and luuk etc said I should stay.

So it's not all one sided.

Like I said, every disagreement has a beginning and it wasn't me that started any of the unpleasantness. People only have to read the threads to see what actually happened.

Okay I know I can come over as arrogant and pompous but you are missing the humour of it all.

I was enjoying Ger's stuff and told him so. Also likethebike's thoughtful involvement.

But if I am not welcome here I will not participate further.

The FECC bullies win again..................... or do they. :-)

Cheerio.

You are right Rickeap, but they cannot resist reading my posts. Now they won't have any to read. :-)

I just threw in the 'intelligence' jibe to get my detractors going. That's how intelligent I am. Brings out the beast in them. LOL.

Ger was always complaining people were not reading his posts on I Gotta Know and the rest. That's how slow this Forum was running!

See you on the Elvis Forums elsewhere.
