The pictures are from the book Memphis Lonesome compiled by Ger Rijff, text by Jan van Gestel.
Pictures were taken by Lloyd Shearer.

Many thanks Jans, I had that Elvis Presley magazine in Birmingham UK in 1957. Cut it to pieces for my scrapbook. I was still at school then, till Easter. Love Me Tender was on at the local cinema.

Very nice pictures! Makes one travel back in time.

I have Memphis lonely and some of the other that you
have benen involved in. You have a wonderful way with words.

All the Rijff books are very nicely laid out. He has a keen eye for
designing books. I enjoy them very much.

Can't you tell by my accent that I am Swedish? :D

The way with words was for Jans, but you are not bad,
according to Pep and the Medical school dropout.

But you can take full credit for the books. If it wasn't for your hard
work we wouldn't have them. I have most of them and enjoy them
very much.
I wonder if there is still one more in you. Let's hope so!

In the 50"s,it seems if our man stepped out the front door there was someone there taking pictures!.

Jans - Good to see someone posting here. I put up a new thread last Saturday on King Creole nothing going on here. it's been nice while it lasted - not only is no one posting but practically no one is visiting. I don't think I'll waste my time in the future posting material.

I'll look in now and then until it picks up again

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK - I ENJOY THESE TYPES OF MAGAZINES.
