Leif Erickson died 26 years ago today.

He died from cancer in 1986 when aged 74.

A veteran US actor, Leif is most remembered for his role in High Chaparral on tv, in which he made 97 episodes between 1967 and 1971.

He appeared with Marlon Brando in On The Waterfront in 1954, and with Elvis in Roustabout in 1964.

This site sells the 25 DVD-set with all 98 episodes for $ 52.95 plus postage.

The discrepancy is because the last 2 episodes are part 1 & part 2 and are regarded as 2 different broadcasts but are 1 title.
