Elvis attends Junco Studios on East Sixty-Ninth Street, New York on October 29th 1956 for a new ending to be shot for the movie 'Love Me Tender’. It was concluded that after preview screenings, a superimposed Elvis Presley over the dying Clint Reno singing the main title theme would be more acceptable.

Elvis is still wearing his shoes from the previous night's Ed Sullivian performance as the shot was only started from a loose mid-shot.

Is the photo of Elvis, June & Gene Smith laying on a lawn taken the same day as this photo?

Hi Davide, if you haven't already seen it, please take a look in the I Gotta Know section here for a LMT thread with photos from this day.

He sure was !

Strange how they thought 'resurrecting' him like that would lessen the sadness of him dying !

Added to the poignancy of the scene, I always thought...................

Having been bussy with John in our own little section I Gotta Know,
I missed out on this topic! Good detective comment on his white shoes
from the previous night on the Sullivan show!
