Nice to see at least one Monkey working hard to keep
this forum alive. Good job, Henk!
I wonder if Kempo Dick ( where the .... are you these days?!),
and his buddies, are aware of the little gems found on both albums
you've put up?! Where's the boot book, Dick?! It looks like it's
going the same way Vic Colonna's plans went... Up in smoke?!

and?
several people have proofread his script. But there's no publisher
interested. Not in this day and age when publishing companies don't
invest in books for a small group of collectors.

Amazing information here Colonel and thanks, but I'm sure takes 111 - 120 are now available on the deluxe DVD release. I'll have to check but I think I'm right.

Yes, they are listed in the booklet that accompanies the set.

These aren't 'take numbers' as per normal !

Just the odd way they are identified on the videotape.

Yes, they were the slate numbers, and in fact I've ripped the tracks and put them onto CDr. However, it's interesting to read that "Elvis performed his vocal live during the shooting of much of it" which suggests these performances, or parts of them, are not on CD anywhere, and hence Colonel's comments about take 120 of It Hurts Me.

It's hard to get myself motivated to write/read on any forum these days.
It wasn't untill now that I found "Boots & Books".
I'm so tired of all that bickering and bitching these days. Elvis fans can be
so negative and full of hate .......

What I can tell you is that "Bootleg Elvis" will be available early July this year.
The (full color) scans and text are ready and proofreading is almost done.
We managed to get great stories from all major vinyl bootleggers in the USA and
Europe, telling the "ins & outs" of their projects. Added to a detailed history of
bootlegging we managed to find more than 1000 entries of different records.
It must also be said that our writer (Rolf Gilgen) did a great job writing the text
in a way nobody else could have done! It's not the usual "fall asleep after 2 pages" style.

All Elvis fans will be in for a treat, believe me!
