Offhand, there are a few takes which have not turned up on FTD releases yet. For example, Fame and Fortune Take 8 found on the first volume.

These are some of my favorite sets and I have back up copies on CD-r, thankfully.

The first original editions of TAM have no CD - rot; it was bootlegged again and these CD's are inferior.

Then I'm lucky with first editions from TAM without CD - rot; I know that later editions were bad and inferior.

I no people who have 1st issues and they also have the same problem as myself, also people (like your good self) that have no problems!.

Just like the FTD"s mess, some folk are good while others are not so lucky.

One thing that is sticking out for sure, the disc"s were made in Europe.

It's not rot, it's a reaction to the glue used on the plastic inserts ... turn the cd's around (label downsize), or store them separately ... in a few months they are clean again - the same goes for FTD

It depends. The few I had recently which showed signs of some kind of "rot", I cleaned with a CD cleaner and had instant results.

However, I had two CDs a few years back which were not fixable and they definitely suffered from CD rot.
