I don't know for sure but i would say it would be 5. Maybe Ric could enlighten us.

There were 5 card to a 5 cent pack, and 1 card to a penny pack. Both had bubble gum.

Made this display for my US cards and wrappers (each card in plastic cover)
one of the pics at the bottom of the frame is a pic I found of a original gum machine that was made for the cards...would love to get a hold of one of them!!
Also added a UK to show the diff sizes..

For a minute you had me fooled these magnet cards originated
back in the 50s! The design on the last of your photos ( presentation
box for the magnets cards) looks like it came directly from 1956!
