The original version was recorded on 02-02-68 by Cliff Richard (Columbia EP SEG 8540).
On 31-10-68 he recorded a version in German language.

Another one that I didn't realise wasn't an Elivs original.
Nice song...but Elvis beats Cliffy

This was one of the contenders for the Eurovision Song Contest recorded by Cliff. He sang a different song on TV each week and the public eventually voted for Congratulations. I remember watching the shows and thought this was a lovely song.

The Elvis' version has some different lyrics (perhaps re-written?)
